The Indian Deaf Cricket Affiliation (IDCA) has thanked the BCCI for forming a committee for the differently-abled cricketers of the rustic, which has cleared the decks for them to compete underneath the Board’s aegis.
The BCCI Apex Council had made up our minds to recognise the Otherwise-Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) as the one frame to advertise cricket amongst bodily challenged, deaf, blind and wheelchair contributors in April.
Previous this month, the Board authorized the formation of a Otherwise-Abled Cricket Committee (DACC), comprising Ravikant Chauhan, Sumit Jain, and Mahantesh Kivadasannavar, at its AGM.
Jain, the President of the Indian Deaf Cricket Affiliation (IDCA), praised the BCCI and particularly its Secretary Jay Shah for the transfer.
“We’re thankful to Jay Shah, Sourav Ganguly and all different participants of BCCI for approving the formation of the Otherwise-Abled Cricket Committee (DACC). This is a ancient determination and on behalf of the entire differently-abled cricket fraternity, we wish to thank everybody at BCCI, particularly Jay bhai, for making this dream come true,” Jain mentioned.
